(2) Google APIs.
Our website uses “Google APIs” from Google. This service enables us to extend our website by externally integrating code frameworks. For this purpose, the required frameworks are usually requested from a Google server in the USA. Through this request, the following information is transmitted to the Google server and stored there: The one of our internet pages that you have visited and the IP address of your end device.

The legal basis for the processing of your data in relation to the “Google APIs” service is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 letter f) DSGVO (legitimate interest in data processing). The legitimate interest results from our need for an appealing and uniform presentation of our online offer and for a technically flawless and fast presentation of our website.

(3) Google Fonts
Our website uses the external font service “Google Fonts” from Google. This service enables us to display our website in a uniform and appealing manner even on very differently configured user devices by loading fonts from an external server instead of from the user’s device. For this purpose, the required fonts are usually requested from a Google server in the USA. Through this request, the following information is transmitted to the Google server and stored there: The one of our internet pages that you have visited and the IP address of your terminal device. The legal basis for the processing of your data in relation to the “Google Fonts” service is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 letter f) DSGVO (legitimate interest in data processing). The legitimate interest results from our need for an appealing and uniform presentation of our online offer.

(4) Google Maps
Our website uses the external map service “Google Maps” from Google. Google Maps is used to provide an interactive map on our website that shows you how to find and reach us. This service enables us to present our website in an appealing way by loading map material from an external server. The required data is usually requested from a Google server in the USA. Through this request, the following information is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there for several months: The one of our internet pages that you have visited and the IP address of your terminal device. The legal basis for the processing of your data in relation to the “Google Maps” service is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 letter f) DSGVO (legitimate interest in data processing). The legitimate interest results from our need for an appealing presentation of our online offer and the easy finding of the places indicated on our homepage.

(5) Google reCAPTCHA.
Our website uses the abuse protection “Google reCAPTCHA” by Google. reCAPTCHA is used to prevent cyberattacks and harassment by so-called “bots” (artificial website users) by checking via an input field whether it is a real person visiting the website. This service enables us to operate our website in a stable manner and to protect it from abuse. For this purpose, the data entered is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and processed there for verification. Through this request, the following information is usually transferred and stored there for several months: The one of our internet pages that you have visited, your input in the input field and the IP address of your end device. The legal basis for the processing of your data in relation to the “Google reCAPTCHA” service is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 letter f) DSGVO (legitimate interest in data processing). The legitimate interest results from our need for effective protection of our online offer against cyber attacks and misuse.

(6) Google AdWords
We use the advertising service “AdWords” from Google. This service enables us to advertise our offers on external websites with the help of so-called Google AdWords. We can also determine how successful the individual advertising measures are. These AdWords are delivered by Google via so-called “Ad Servers”. For this purpose, we use ad server cookies (see above under “Cookies”), through which various parameters can be measured to determine success. We ourselves do not collect or process any personal data through the aforementioned advertising measures. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google. These evaluations enable us to identify which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of the advertising tools; in particular, we cannot identify you from this information.
However, due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with Google’s server. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool and therefore inform you according to our state of knowledge: Through the integration of AdWords, Google receives the information that you have called up the corresponding part of our website or clicked on an advertisement from us. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can assign the visit to your account. Even if you are not registered with Google or have not logged in, it is still possible for the provider to obtain and store your IP address.

b) Content Delivery Network

Our website uses a so-called Content Delivery Network (CDN). A CDN is a network of powerful servers that cache content at various locations around the world. A CDN essentially has two tasks: on the one hand, it should provide content in the shortest possible time and, on the other hand, it should relieve the web host by distributing the data traffic.

CDNs transmit two types of content: Static and dynamic content. Static content is delivered to all website visitors in the same form, such as video content from streaming services or code frameworks (e.g. Javascript, JQuery). Dynamic content is first adapted to the user and only created at the moment of the request. This includes content that takes place via web applications, e-mail or online shops and is personalised. In order to use the latter, information about the website visitor must first be transmitted to the CDN. This may also involve the transmission of personal data.

The legal basis for the use of a CDN and the transmission of your data to it is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 letter f) DSGVO (legitimate interest in data processing). The legitimate interest results from our need for a technically flawless and fast presentation of our website and the relief of our IT infrastructure. In detail, we use:

(1) Bootstrap.
We use the CDN service “BootstrapCDN” (also called “MaxCDN”) of the company NetDNA LLC (“NetDNA”), 3575 Cahuenga Blvd. West, Suite 330, Los Angeles, CA 90068, USA. NetDNA complies with the requirements of the “EU Privacy Shield”. The Privacy Shield agreement regulates the protection of personal data transferred from a member state of the European Union to the USA. It ensures that the transferred data there is also subject to a level of data protection comparable to that of the European Union. You can access the list of certified companies here: https://www.privacyshield.gov/list. More information on the handling of user data can be found in BootstrapCDN’s privacy policy at https://www.bootstrapcdn.com/privacy-policy/.

(2) Font Awesome.
Our website uses so-called web fonts provided by Fonticons, Inc. for the uniform display of fonts. When you call up a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into its browser cache in order to display texts and fonts correctly. For this purpose, the browser you are using must establish a connection to the servers of Fonticons, Inc. This informs Fonticons, Inc. that our website has been accessed via your IP address. The use of web fonts is in the interest of a uniform and appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. If your browser does not support web fonts, a standard font from your computer will be used. You can find more information about Font Awesome at HTTPS://FONTAWESOME.COM/HELP.

6. Social Media Plug-ins

We use social media plug-ins on our website on the basis of ART. 6 ABS. 1 S. 1 LIT. F DSGVO, we use social plug-ins from the social networks Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube and XING on our website in order to raise awareness of our company. The underlying promotional purpose is to be regarded as a legitimate interest within the meaning of the DSGVO. We integrate these plug-ins using the so-called two-click method in order to protect visitors to our website as best as possible.

a) Facebook

Social media plug-ins from Facebook are used on our website to make their use more personal. For this purpose, we use the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button. This is an offer from Facebook.
When you call up a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection with the Facebook servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser, which then integrates it into the website.

By integrating the plugins, Facebook receives the information that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Facebook account or are not currently logged in to Facebook. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to a Facebook server in the USA and stored there.
If you are logged in to Facebook, Facebook can assign your visit to our website directly to your Facebook account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “LIKE” or “SHARE” button, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published on Facebook and displayed to your Facebook friends.

Facebook may use this information for the purposes of advertising, market research and the needs-based design of Facebook pages. For this purpose, Facebook creates usage, interest and relationship profiles, e.g. to evaluate your use of our website with regard to the advertisements displayed to you on Facebook, to inform other Facebook users about your activities on our website and to provide other services associated with the use of Facebook.

If you do not want Facebook to assign the data collected via our website to your Facebook account, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website.

For the purpose and scope of the data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Facebook’s privacy policy (HTTPS://WWW.FACEBOOK.COM/ABOUT/PRIVACY/).

b) Twitter

On our Internet pages, plugins of the short message network of Twitter Inc. (Twitter) are integrated. You can recognise the Twitter plugins (tweet button) by the Twitter logo on our site. You can find an overview of tweet buttons here (HTTPS://ABOUT.TWITTER.COM/RESOURCES/BUTTONS).
When you call up a page of our website that contains such a plugin, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Twitter server. Twitter thereby receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click the Twitter “tweet button” while you are logged into your Twitter account, you can link the content of our pages on your Twitter profile. This allows Twitter to associate the visit to our pages with your user account.

If you do not want Twitter to be able to associate your visit to our pages, please log out of your Twitter user account.

For more information, please see Twitter’s privacy policy (HTTPS://TWITTER.COM/PRIVACY).

c) Instagram

Our website also uses so-called social plugins (“plugins”) from Instagram, which is operated by Instagram LLC., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA (“Instagram”).

The plugins are marked with an Instagram logo, for example in the form of an “Instagram camera”.

When you call up a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to the Instagram servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Instagram directly to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration, Instagram receives the information that your browser has called up the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have an Instagram profile or are not currently logged in to Instagram.

This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to an Instagram server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to Instagram, Instagram can directly assign your visit to our website to your Instagram account. If you interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the “Instagram” button, this information is also transmitted directly to an Instagram server and stored there.
The information is also published on your Instagram account and displayed there to your contacts.

If you do not want Instagram to directly assign the data collected via our website to your Instagram account, you must log out of Instagram before visiting our website.

For more information, please see Instagram’s privacy policy (HTTPS://HELP.INSTAGRAM.COM/155833707900388).

d) YouTube

We use the YouTube player to integrate our own videos from our YouTube channels or videos from other providers into our pages. GOOGLE’S PRIVACY NOTICE informs you about how Google, the owner of YouTube, collects your data and how Google handles this data.

e) XING

Our website also uses the “share function” of the XING network. The provider is XING AG, Dammtorstraße 29-32, 20354 Hamburg, Germany. If you click on the XING “Share button” (plug-in), you will be redirected to your user account in a separate browser window – provided you are logged in to your XING user account – and can share the electronic publication stored on our website by adding a comment. The plug-in establishes a direct connection between your browser and the XING server. XING thereby receives the information that you have visited our website with your IP address. You can find more information on this in XING’s privacy policy at: HTTPS://WWW.XING.COM/APP/SHARE?OP=DATA_PROTECTION.
